Benevolent Voyager : -'Viharcharya Isinam Pasattha' - an aphorism of Jain Aagam is truly practiced by Acharya Shri Mahashraman as he has devoted his life to travel remote places by foot, across hundreds of kilometers, visiting various villages, towns and cities, meeting and helping people and igniting a new enthusiasm within them. He strongly believes that it is a powerful way of being benevolent and empathetic.Acharya Shri Mahashraman is among those great spiritual leaders and seers who consider that it is not enough to convey religious teachings but is driven by the feeling of public welfare from within and has voluntarily dedicated his life into it.
Till date, Acharya Shri has blessed several places such as Rajasthan, Haryana, Uttar Pradesh, Gujarat, Maharashtra, Madhya Pradesh and Delhi with his auspicious visits. Many other places also await his presence. Acharya Shri has travelled on foot more than 20,000 kms and yet his enthusiasm adds new dimensions. His swift walking itself is a testimony to his sprightliness. He traverses the countryside, sometimes on stony and thorny paths, on a determined voyage towards his next destination.
During the substantial 'Ahimsa Yatra' covering almost 10,000 kms, hundreds and thousands of people had the opportunity to listen the soulful discourses by him. People lined the streets, hoping for a glimpse of the Acharya Shri, who always paused on his way, sharing inspirational words and taking life-transforming promises.
While on tour of the remote tribal areas, His Holiness explained the significance of principle of Ahimsa. Many tribal people not only listened and understood Ahimsa but also accepted it practically by renouncing hunting, addictive substances, non-vegetarian food and innocent killing.
Ideal Yogi :- Acharya Shri Mahashraman is among the few Preceptors and Thinkers who have not only promoted the concept of worshipping the soul far and wide, but also live and practice it constantly. His Holiness is a great Seer. He augments all the virtues of sainthood and is known as a determined yogi. He is a living example of the concept of the 'Sthitapragya' as described in the Shrimad Bhagvad Gita. This is the reason why every person entering his aura feels purity, peace and solace.
The life of His Holiness is more social than personal. While proficiently leading the Terapanth Dharma Sangh, he is well-known as an Ideal Yogi among the crowd of thousands. His soft facial features which are filled with peace and serenity are a symbol of his persistent soulful determination. The maxim of 'Be Inside, Live Outside' can easily be seen throughout his life. His undivided concentration sustains even in a clamorous environment.
His full focus and dedication towards the goal has strengthened his power of renunciation. His practice of self-discipline is excellent and unique. The driving force of India's Saint Traditions, the renunciation, is prospered by his soft feelings, self-discipline, sin-fearing and self-honesty. Due to the firmness of his internal austerity, H. H. Acharya Shri Mahapragya honored Acharya Shri Mahashraman as 'Mahatapasvi' or 'A Great Austere".
His Holiness is an immaculate example of renunciation with vigilance. Practicing meditation in the peaceful ambience at the dawn of the day is an important part of his daily life. Despite being engaged in activities and programs throughout the day, he always makes time for his spiritual embark.
Influent Orator :-Acharya Shri Mahashraman is an orator who touches the heart of his listeners and followers by his soft and mature style. His speeches are based on life's facts and personal problems. The audience is deeply moved by his words and the impact of his demeanor is easily reflected on their faces.
He is famous as an influential orator. Ignited by the luminous fire of his spiritual experiences, his speeches cast a lasting impression on the audience. He engages people from all strata equally - learned and sophisticated people on one hand, and villagers from far away places on the other - thousands flock to hear his lectures.
Race, class, color, community, creed, nationality and other types of discriminations have no place in his discourses. Through his prolific writings, he has contributed immense to the world of publication. Editing of Jain Aagams and Scriptures are being skillfully handled by Acharya Shri Mahashraman. His persistent hard work has resulted in the Dictionary of Jain technical words and its meanings, which is significant contribution to the world of scholars. Acharya Shri Mahashraman is playing a pivotal role in preserving the Rajasthani literary works by publishing holy books written by Acharya Shri Bhikshu, the first Acharya and founder of the Terapanth Dharma Sangh in Rajasthani. Aao Hum Jeena Sikhe (Lets learn to live), Dukh Mukti ka Marg (Way to triumph over sorrows), Sanwad Bhagwan Se (A Dialogue with God), Kya Kehta hai Jain Vangmay (What does The Jain Aagam Say) are some of the books penned by Acharya Shri Mahashraman. The life of Acharya Shri Mahapragya from the beginning till the end has been impressively crafted by Acharya Shri Mahashraman in his book 'Mahatma Mahapragya'.
In his every day's demanding routine, His Holiness takes out the time engaging himself in literary work. He is a great scholar of Hindi, English, Sanskrit, Prakrit and Rajasthani languages. He has composed hundreds of shlokas/verses in the Sanskrit language. His book 'Shemushi' has been included in the syllabus of the University. Hindi and Rajasthani poems also form part of his literary work.
Prodigious Social Reformer :- Acharya Shri Mahashraman has made strenuous efforts towards the development of a society free from social evils. Self-development and welfare of society are two inseparable principles of his life. His contemplative consciousness is always active, resolving the problems of society, country and the world. He opposes social evils, superstitions and orthodox religious beliefs with great vigor. He says with conviction that "The society which is orthodox and entangled in false beliefs, and the leaders of that society don't think about its values, progress and control, the society doesn't remain a society but becomes equivalent to a cattle herd devoid of intellect and dignity. The faith or religion which doesn't improve a person's life is not faith at all but betrayal. Religious values should reflect in human behavior."
He works endlessly trying to resolve the widespread problems which are faced by the society such as untouchability, casteism, betrayal, religious discrimination, addiction, dowry, female infanticide, feticide and other types of social evils. During his bare-footed journeys, he has made thousands of devotees to be imbibed by four pledges as follows:
1. I shall believe in human solidarity.
2. I shall not fight on the issues of caste, community and religion, shall not fight at home and shall live in peace.
3. I shall practice to be honest in all my dealings.
4. I shall practice to be addiction free.
His Holiness believes that by establishing nonviolence, compassion, peace and morality, our duty-centric society can be healthy. After getting inspired by his words and works, thousands of people pledged their promise of living an addiction-free life and taking a step forward towards living a healthy lifestyle. People threw away packets of cigarettes, tobacco and gutka and made their promises to pave the way for creating nonviolent dynamic society.
Two Legendary Personalities :Acharya Shri Tulsi & Acharya Shri Mahapragya are the luminaries of the 20th century, who enlightened the entire world with their profound knowledge, in-depth insights and intuitive wisdom. These two extraordinary visionaries blew the bugle of a new revolution in the world of faith and intelligence, and discovered a new sphere of spiritualism. The whole of humanity is obliged to both for their great works. Acharya Shri Mahashraman is the exquisite creation of these two spiritual preceptors and sculptors. Both these masters not only shaped and enhanced his personality but also bestowed hidden secrets. With his practice, humility, simplicity, softness and service, he won the hearts of his mentors, his Gurus.
Gurudev Shri Tulsi used to say 'Mahashraman is very simple, humble and very soft. Rather I say that he is an ideal saint'. Not only this, he felt immense joy and inner peace after appointing him on the post of 'Mahashraman'. Looking at his dedication for spirituality and discipline, softness and other traits, Acharya Shri Mahapragya appointed him as his successor. For 24 years under the auspicious aura of Acharya Shri Mahapragya, he accomplished a depth of spiritual wisdom and sharp perception blending a personality of self-discipline, humility and strong moral character. Being a Yuvacharya, he was involved inseparably in all of Acharya Shri Mahapragya's work. Acharya Shri Mahapragya used to experience 'oneness' with Acharya Shri Mahashraman.

He is hardworking, unselfish, effort-taking and has consciousness of divinity'. Created and architected by two World renowned Great Acharyas, Acharya Shri Mahashraman is dedicated and devoted firmly in carrying forward a legacy - a heritage of values and ideals of his Gurus - Acharya Shri Tulsi and Acharya Shri Mahapragya and fulfill their dreams.
Proficient Leader :-In the tradition of 'One Guru, One Discipline' of Terapanth Dharma Sangh, the 11th Acharya, Acharya Shri Mahashraman is known for his effective and proficient leadership. The spiritual young force of more than 35,000 youths of the Akhil Bhartiya Terapanth Yuvak Parishad, with more than 300 branches, undertakes various humanitarian activities for the upliftment of society. His Holiness is himself young and his one instruction brings life to the huge youth wagon.
Under the divine leadership of His Holiness, the Akhil Bhartiya Terapanth Mahila Mandal of more than 60,000 women with 375 branches organizes myriad events and women empowerment programs, working towards strengthening the Indian culture and traditions. Anuvrat Anushasta :-Acharya Shri Mahashraman, as an Anuvrat Anushasta, is skillfully navigating the Anuvrat Movement by spreading the message of 'Self-discipline is Life'.
The 'Anuvrat' movement came into existence on 2nd March, 1949 by Acharya Shri Tulsi. The movement was initiated to establish moral values. The word 'Anuvrat' means a set of small vows developed to eradicate social evils like casteism, communal disharmony, dowry, cheating, violence, etc. It is an annotative blessing for humanity by Acharya Shri Tulsi. Anuvrat presents the broad perspective of religion and faith to the society by transcending the discrimination of caste, state, religion, color and gender. A person of any caste, creed, color and religion can have the pride of being an Anuvrati. Anuvrat plays an important role in building character and morals in society.
Yugpradhan Acharya Shri Mahapragya not only elucidated the philosophical connotation of Anuvrat Movement but also gave his full support in an inseparable way with Acharya Shri Tulsi. After the demise of Acharya Shri Mahapragya, this responsibility is now on Acharya Shri Mahashraman's potential shoulders.
The first President of India Dr. Rajendra Prasad, Pandit Jawaharlal Nehru, Dr. Radhakrishnan, Jayaprakash Narayan, AnnaDurai, Vinoba Bhave, C. Rajagopalachari, Dalai Lama, etc. have mentioned that Anuvrat is a great tool for prosperity of our country and themselves became a strong supporter. Under the leadership of Acharya Shri Mahashraman, the Anuvrat Mahasamiti, with more than 200 branches across India and abroad, Anuvrat Vishwa Bharati and Anuvrat Nyas - all three are propagating the message of morality the world over.
Preksha Meditation :-Acharya Shri Mahashraman, who has attained the true depth of contemplation through the practice of Preksha Meditation, inspires humankind for inner transformation. Acharya Shri Mahashraman, under the guidance of Acharya Shri Mahapragya, the Preksha Meditation pioneer, has soulfully amalgamated the secrets of meditation for many years. Thousands of people from all over the world have experienced peace and happiness by the practices enunciated by him in the Preksha Meditation camps.
The Preksha meditation technique is a rediscovery of the tireless efforts of Ganadhipati Tulsi and Acharya Shri Mahapragya, in 1975. This technique is a synthesis of traditional scriptures, modern science and experience. The meditation practices done by Lord Mahavira, carried on by Acharya Shri Mahapragya with a research study for 20 years, were presented in the form of Preksha Meditation.
Preksha Meditation is a practice by which thoughts and consciousness are made pure and is a process of self realization. In simple words 'Preksha' means 'To see Yourself'. To know and perceive subtle vibrations of body, mind and soul without attachment and hatred'. The objective of Preksha Meditation is - Purity of Consciousness. Preksha Meditation helps us in experiencing balance, happiness and peace. This technique facilitates to attain freedom from mental stress, transformation and recreation of energy, attitudinal change and behavioral modification and development of concentration. Preksha Meditation is the door for meditational tranquility, and relives from physical, mental ailments and emotional chaos.
Thousands of seminars and camps of Preksha Meditation have been organized in the country and all over the world. People from varied cultures have practiced Preksha Meditation and have experienced internal transmutation. This technique proves to be more successful with regular and consistent practice. Science Of Living :- Science of Living, founded by the Lokmaharshi Acharya Shri Mahapragya, is now under the auspicious guidance of Acharya Shri Mahashraman proving to be an important aspect in the development a spiritio-scientific personality. Science of Living teaches the art of living a life. It is a vital educational program for the integrated advancement of the next generation.
For a healthy society to be formed, building of a balanced personality is necessary. Development of intellect, mind, body and emotions are essential for the growth of holistic personality. In the present education system, emphasis is being put on the intellectual evolution. Science of Living instead concentrates on myriad aspects of personality development more than intelligence.
A planned syllabus with emphasis on practical lessons is designed for the evolution of persona of students by transformation of bio-chemical and bio-electrical impulses. According to former President Dr. A. P. J. Abdul Kalam, 'Science of Living' is a very useful educational program to build the ideal human and society'.
Science of Living has already been introduced in the syllabus in several states such as Rajasthan, Delhi, Karnataka, Tamil Nadu, Gujarat, Madhya Pradesh and Chhattisgarh.
Under the pious guidance of Acharya Shri Mahashraman, the Science of Living program aims at complementing the present education system and helping students to build and enhance their overall personality. The Central Jeevan Vigyan Academy under the umbrella of Jain Vishva Bharati, Ladnun, with its many branches is strongly focused on accomplishing this herculean task.
Practice of Non-Violence :-The message of non-violence is being heard everywhere. But to assimilate into the heart, an organised programme of non-violence is being run by His Holiness Acharya Mahashraman continuously. Under this programme of non-violence teaching more than 300 centers have been developed where the important work of removing the reasons of violence from the roots is being done.
The promoter of non-violence Acharya Mahapragya was of the opinion that 'Only after surveying the reasons of violence we can think about talking of non-violence. The internal causes of violence are the feelings of anger and anxiousness. The external reasons are non-availability of food and basic necessities.'
On the basis of the effects of the internal and external reasons of violence, the four stages of non-violence teachings are presented as follows
1. History and principles of Non-violence.
2. Changes of the soul.
3. Non-violent lifestyle.
4. Honest and truthful income source and demonstration of it. Where through these stages teachings of meditation and other practices, emotional changes are being brought about, for removing the external reasons of violence, demonstration and teachings of honest earning and employment programmes are being held. A lot of people have benefited by these programme. They have understood the heart of non-violence and are living a non-violent lifestyle and becoming self-dependant from honest and truthful earning they are making way for a healthy family, society and country.
Organised by the Anuvrat Shiksha Sansad in the year 2002, this programme is under the sacred direction of Acharya Mahashraman is a great way of assimilating non-violence in lifestyles of people.
Educational Institutions ;-Among the humanitarian and societal programs executed by Terapanth Community, education has always had the topmost priority in list of activities undertaken by Acharya Shri Mahashraman. Under this movement, education from Primary to University level is organized.
Acharya Shri Mahashraman is honored as the 'Anushasta' of Jain Vishva Bharati University, the first Jain University across the world. Established in 1991 with the goal to promote oriental studies along with Jain studies, Nonviolence, Peace, Preksha Meditation and Science of Living, the University focuses on education, research, training and promotion of values. Students are offered 43 courses including the degrees of Bachelors, Masters, Certificate, M. Phil and PhD programs. Thousands of students are benefited by mode of Distance education.
In addition, the Terapanth Society is running more than 150 educational institutions. These schools and colleges across diverse states in India form channels to imbibe the rich heritage and cultural values in the upcoming generation.
